We are ​forming a community youth team with the Sumter County School District that will introduce the amazing team spor of DRAGON BOATING to the Wildwood & South Sumter High Schools in the Spring of 2026.  This after school program will offer enrolled student (Freshman - Seniors) the opportunity to be part of a team.

• The 2026 Spring Season Starts in February 2026

• With the schools supervision we will teach each participant the sport of Dragon Boating, train them, have them practice together in a safe enfironment on Lake Deaton, provide food and drink at each practice and finish the "Spring Season" by competing in a local regatta against other community teams. 

• All transportation to and from practice is provided

• All equipment is provided

• Full safety equipment is required and provided as well as supvised.

• Each student that completes the practice schedule and races in the regatta receives their own team jersey to keep.

• There is NO COST TO THE STUDENTS to join, train and race with "their team"

• We WELCOME STUDENTS of all shapes, sizes and skills.  Boys and girls who would like to be part of a group that works togethers, trains together, learns the value of team mates, respects each other and HAS FUN.  If you've mever been on a team or in a sport - well this is for you.  "Paddlers" as we're called, can be anyone who is willing to try and always works as a part of "THE TEAM"​
